PAGE to STAGE
PAGE TO STAGE is the Writers’ Summer School 'play in three days', where we take a short script (submitted by a delegate and selected in advance), cast it, add a director, and then perform a 'Rehearsed Reading' on the evening of the third day as part of our EVENING ENTERTAINMENT programme.
If you love script writing, characterisation, collaboration and performing, then you’ll love Page to Stage!
JUDGES/selection panel
We would like to thank our independent panel of judges who have given their time and experience to help us by selecting the scripts that will be performed in August. The Manuscript Mavericks are members of the Gravesend and District Theatre, who meet once a month to read plays:
'We have been meeting since February 2024 and in that time have read classic and contemporary plays, some of which may be added to our programme in the future.
The Theatre Guild was formed in 1948, when the various small amateur drama groups in the area created a central body for support and mutual benefit, bringing the best talent and raising the standard of productions. We became a registered charity in 2006 and our aim is to be a thriving community theatre, producing a wide-ranging annual programme with a number of productions for our adult and youth members.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to judge your competition, our group really enjoyed the experience.'
